Hitting the road for ABM
Creating alignment is freaking hard work.
That’s why it’s the most common problem within organizations. Whether it’s creating an ABM strategy, campaign, etc.
But when you put in the effort it pays off and alignment happens.
I share this because of the recent journey I’ve been on here at Movable Ink in trying to create alignment on our ABM strategy across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Since probably early June, when I drafted my strategy I’ve hit the road presenting to gather feedback and buy-in. To my count, it’s been at least 10 high level meetings and presentations.
Here’s the list of meetings:
VP of Growth Marketing
Chief Marketing Officer
VP of Growth Marketing + CMO
President + VP of Growth Marketing + CMO
VP of Sales + Area VPs of Sales
Sales All Hands
GTM QBRs
Vertical Strategy Off-Site
BDR Team Calls
EMEA Team Calls
RevOps
I’m sure I’m missing some here, but you get the point.
The other critical part is not just meeting with these teams. It’s having a strategy that is clear and is easy to understand.
